Intimate skincare is for all of those forgotten or hidden places that we either don't think too much about or we might be too embarrassed to deal with. People often will leave these areas untreated, even if they are experiencing issues, because they feel embarrassed or uncomfortable or they may not even realize that treatments are available. Whatever the case may be, many people will leave skin issues ignored when they are not on the face. These areas include but are not limited to bikini/pubic mound/outer labia, inner thighs, buttocks, back or chest. While most of the time, we can ignore issues that might come up or try to treat them on our own, occasionally we may need or want some help.
Any of these "other" areas can be affected by a whole host of skin issues including hormonal acne, friction from clothes, ingrowns and clogged pores, etc.. It can range from a mild nuisance to a shame inducing problem. Whatever the case may be, there are options available for treating the issues that you may have. Any intimate skincare services are treated in a very similar way to a standard facial, but may have a stronger focus on exfoliation and extraction.
What is involved in the treatment?
Prepare: Thorough cleanse of the area.
Smooth: Exfoliation applied, chemical or mechanical depending on individual and area being treated.
Prime: Apply steam and/or hot towels to help open up the pores and soften the area
Extract: Extractions of blackheads, whiteheads, milia, ingrown hairs, papules and some pustules (if surfaced, deep and active cystic type blemishes are not touched and would be referred to a dermatologist or GP if they are problematic)
Treat: Application of an astringent anywhere treatment was done
Restore: A hydrating mask is then applied to sooth and hydrate the skin
Soothe: Apply suitable moisturizer
Treatment will take from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the area being treated and the issues that are identified.

It is particularly beneficial to people epilate regularly (recommended for a week after waxing or sugaring services) or people who experience sensitivities with shaving.

Why get this Treatment?
This service will treat ingrown hairs, removes dead skin cells, smooths bumps helps to prevent acne, helps with hyper-pigmentation, evening out skin tone and contributes to maintaining healthy and hydrated skin. It is very useful in the biking area for preventing irritation from waxing/shaving.
Ultimately, these treatments aim to reduce ingrown hairs, clogged pores, acne, dry skin, or irritation in the area being treated as well as improve texture and tone.
Some of these problem areas can cause a lot of embarrassment especially when wearing a swimsuit or becoming intimate with a partner. Embarrassment need not keep you from doing something about it.
